Asia Largest Multipurpose Ro-Ro Ship, built by CIMC Raffles, “Bohai Hengtong” S

On June 30, 2020, 10:38 a.m., a 2700-meter lane multipurpose Ro-Ro ship M/V “Bohai Hengtong” launching ceremony was successfully held in Longkou construction base of CIMC Raffles. The ship is built by CIMC Raffles Offshore Limited (CIMC Raffles) for Bohai Hengtong Ferry Co. LTD. The representatives from Longkou Government, Bohai Ferry Group Co., LTD., Hengtong Logistics Co., LTD., Longkou Port Co., LTD., CCS and CIMC Raffles attended the ceremony.

Length overall 189.9 meters
Breadth Moulded 26.4 meters
Upper deck height 15.4 meters,
Lane width 3 meters
Lane Length 2700 meters
Design draft 6 meters
Range about 5000 nautical miles
Service speed 17 knots

This project is currently the largest multipurpose ro-ro ship in Asia, is modernized and environmental-protection, was designed for transportation of all kinds of trucks, cars and containers, will be operating in Bohai Bay.

This ship equipped with twin-motor, twin-shaft & propeller. medium-speed diesel engines was selected, which drive the CPP. through gear box and long shaft. One bow thruster, one pair fin stabilizers and anti-roll tanks were equipped. gym, entertainment system were quipped for crews.

3rd. Deck has fore and Stern ramp for roll up and roll down, one elevator for going to 1st deck, and a ramp for going to 5 deck. Bow door was shaped as Lines Plan which makes the bow view looking nice.

This project is the first Ro-Ro ship project of CIMC Raffles . In order to achieve high-quality delivery, CIMC Raffles  arranged the best technical team, production team and management team. with the support of the governments and relevant departments,  CIMC RAFFLES established a its first Ropax production line , which provided strong support for the the project building.
