On the afternoon of May 24, the state-owned enterprises of Shenzhen and CIMC Raffles, a subsidiary of CIMC, held a collaborative matchmaking meeting in Yantai, Shandong Province, to discuss the cooperation opportunities in the marine field. This is the second coordinated matchmaking meeting since Shenzhen Capital Group completed the share acquisition process in mid-December last year and officially became the largest shareholder of CIMC, which means that the cooperation and coordination plan between Shenzhen state-owned enterprises and CIMC is progressing in an orderly way.

The attendees included the principles of the Strategic Development and Research Department and the Restructuring and Capital Operation Department of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shenzhen, Mr. Zhu Zhiqiang, the General Manager of Shenzhen Capital Operation Group, Mr. Gao Xiang, the President of CIMC. As well as the relevant leaders of Shenzhen Yantian Port Group, Shenzhen Energy Group, Shenzhen Gas Group, Shenzhen Agricultural Products Group, Shenzhen Special Zone Construction and Development Group, Shenzhen Special Development Group, Shenzhen Zhisheng High Technology Development Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Clou Electronics Co., Ltd., and other key state-owned enterprises in Shenzhen.

At the meeting, Mr. Wang Jianzhong, president of CIMC Raffles, introduced the development history of CIMC Offshore firstly. Especially the offshore industry sector has successfully transformed through independent innovation with the firm support of CIMC Group during the low oil prices times. The offshore industry, as the pillars of a great power and strategical industry, is necessary for marine field development, and need to combine the forces of the four sides."

The leaders of Shenzhen state-owned enterprises also introduced their business lines and development direction one by one, as well as the list of cooperation and potential cooperation with CIMC Raffles which had been prepared beforehand. All Shenzhen state-owned enterprises highly recognize the achievements made by CIMC Raffles, and express their strong willingness to establish in-depth cooperation with CIMC Raffles.

Mr. Gao Xiang, the president of CIMC, said that CIMC will unswervingly stick to the offshore industry and continue to push forward the transformation into new fields such as offshore wind power and Marine fishery based on market demand and new business opportunities. At the same time, CIMC will also actively promote the healthy development of the whole industry.

Mr. Zhu Zhiqiang, the general manager of Shenzhen Capital Group, said that there is a lot of coordination space between Shenzhen State-owned Assets and CIMC at three levels: industry, equity cooperation, industrial expansion and industrial extension.  As far as offshore industry, CIMC offshore has worked hard to enter the first echelon of the industry and delivered the "a Pillars of a Great Power" by its own efforts. In the face of the industry adjustment period, difficult transformation and breakthrough, the whole process is very hard.

Mr. Zhu Zhiqiang said that everyone of state-owned enterprises of Shenzhen Municipality is full of confidence in the future cooperation prospect with CIMC after this meeting. Shenzhen Capital Group, as the largest shareholder of CIMC, will make efforts in the following three aspects: First, resolutely carry out the integrated development work after strategic investment in CIMC, and seek benefits and value from collaboration; Second, give full play to the function of the capital operation platform, carry out industrial coordination through investment, merger and acquisition, promote the strategic development of sibling enterprises, and strengthen the chain and complement the chain; Third, build a bridge for the comprehensive and in-depth cooperation between Shenzhen State Assets and CIMC.

On 24th morning, all attendees visited Yantai Yard of CIMC RAFFLES, and stepped on BLUE WHALE II which is responsible for a second round of flammable ice, also overlooking Taisun Rig  and the various types of equipment under construction with highly appreciated.
