RoRo, refers to vessels that load and unload wheeled cargo/vehicles by ro-ro through RoRo ramps. As a leading offshore facility integration and fabrication enterprise in China, CIMC Raffles has successfully built an industrial chain for ro-ro vessel products in the field of design and construction, and seized the opportunity of rapid growth of ro-ro vessels with lean management concepts and advanced construction technology, and quickly ranked among the forefront of this business segment. Due to various core performance indicators such as "construction quality, outstanding operation performance, green energy efficiency“ got recognized by the customers, the delivered ro-ro vessel projects have successively won the industry-renowned Ferry Shipping Summit 2022 "Ro-Ro vessel of the Year", and the global Ro-Ro vessel professional forum “Shippax 2023 RoRo Technology & Environment Award".
Bohai ferry RoRos, two vessels, successfully delivered in 2020 are the largest multipurpose Ro-Ro vessel in Asia upon delivery. Modernized and environmental-protection, the vessel is designed for transportation of all kinds of trucks, cars and containers, and currently operating in Bohai Bay.
This vessel is equipped with twin-motor, twin-shaft & propeller, medium-speed diesel engines, which drive the CPP.
Wallenius SOL- IceClass LNG powered Mega RoRo (2 Vessels)
Product Introduction
The Wallenius SOL RORO vessels (total number 2) are specially designed to meet the harsh winter conditions in the Gulf of Bothnia, successfully delivered in May 2022.
In addition to her conventional RoRo capabilities, the vessel will have a large container capacity. She is expected to be significantly more energy efficient per transported tonne of cargo than other types of vessels, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 63%.
The 7,000CEU pure car truck carriers (PCTCs) vessels for Athens and London-based company Atlas Maritime have an overall length of 199.9m and width of 38m, will feature two sets of C-type LNG tanks and comply with NOx Tier III regulations requirements, which are projected to minimize CO₂ emissions.
The 7,000CEU pure car truck carriers (PCTCs) vessels for UK-based vesselping firm Zodiac Maritime is important part of CIMC Raffles’ strategy to realize series, high-end project fabrication target.
The vessels have an overall length of 199.9m and width of 38m, will feature two sets of C-type LNG tanks, which are projected to minimize CO₂ emissions.
Designed by Danish naval architect Knud. E. Hansen, the Swedish flagged vessels are 200 meters long, 37 meters wide with capacity of 6,500 car equivalent units (CEU). Each is equipped with one Type C LNG tank and related fuel gas supply system, and will be able to achieve 19 knots service speed.
