The Largest LNG Propulsion RORO Vessel H487 Was Launched From CIMC-RAFFLES

The largest LNG propulsion RORO vessel H487 was launched from CIMC-RAFFLES on July 8, 2021. This is the first vessel of series RORO projects that CIMC-Raffles build for WALLENIUS SOL.

After the successful launch of the Roro H487 project, a series of functional tests will be carried out at Yantai base.

The series vessels are about 241.7 meters length overall and 35.2 meters breadth moulded. The speed can be 20.0 knots. Be prepared for cold climate and ice conditions, Ice class equivalent to the Finnish-Swedish ice class “1A Super”. The propulsion system is very efficient and the emission is much more environmental to compliance with standards. As a newly emerging force, this vessel will join the fleet of WALLENIUS SOL. The transport capacity of this giant shipping company will be improved dramatically. And the development foundation of CIMC Raffles in the international mainstream RORO market will be more consolidated.

Start with keel laying on 14th June, 2020 all the 132 blocks have been hoisted and achieved hull erection in 9 months, all 410,000 meters cables of the vessel have been laid in 5 months. More than 24,000 pipelines and most of the equipment and outfitting have been installed in place, and the commissioning work has already begun. The state of the project meets the requirements for launching finally. This cannot be achieved without the hard work of all parties.
