On November 30, 2017,the Vice Dean of the Ukraine National Academy of Sciences, Prof. Goronei Annatoli, the deputy director of the Welding Institute of Ukraine, Prof Kelifukov Igor and 3 other members formed the delegation of five scientists from the Ukrainian scientific community accompanied by Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department of Shandong Province, Yu Shuliang, Deputy Director, International Cooperation Division, Liu Chunlin, Director of Yantai Science and Technology Bureau Li Yongjun and deputy director Xu Bo, arrived in Yantai to visit CIMC Raffles Yantai base and marine engineering institute.

Teng Yao, Deputy General Manager of CIMC marine engineering institute, and Su Bo, general manager’s assistant, accompanied them to visit the Yantai base. They introduced CIMC Raffles' development history, overall production capacity and the platform project under construction to the guests in the product exhibition hall and deepwater wharf respectively. The visiting guests expressed their admiration for the production strength of CIMC Raffles marine engineering products.

Later, the delegation went on to visit the marine engineering institute. The related staff led the guests to visit the laboratory of CIMC Raffles Barton welding technology research center and the R&D center of CIMC Raffles Marine engineering institute, and introduced the R&D ability of CIMC Raffles marine engineering products and the achievements of CIMC Raffles Barton welding technology research center.

Through the visit to CIMC Raffles, the delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine expressed their pride that China has CIMC Raffles as a large-scale marine engineering enterprise. Through the visit, he had a deeper understanding of the characteristics and technical performance of Marine engineering products, and expressed his recognition for the cooperation of CIMC Barton project and his expectation for further follow-up cooperation.
