On 23 May 2018,Norwegian Fishery Minister Per Sandberg visited CIMC Offshore Engineering Center and Yantai CIMC Raffles shipyard which all located in Yantai and gave a tour of observation on EPC capability.
According to the agreement, CIMC Blue and Nordlaks have reached cooperation intention on the design and construction of a new generation of "Havfarm" series of aquaculture vessels, including but not limited to living fish transport vessels and fish product processing vessels. The two sides jointly explore cooperation models for exporting, marketing and processing high-quality salmon and other seafood from Norway to the world. The two sides commit to each other as the preferred global partner for fish farming and jointly develop fisheries farming solutions. Mr. Fu said: "CIMC raffles and Norway have a good basis for fisheries cooperation. Going forward, Shandong province hopes to exchanges and cooperation with Norway in Marine science and technology, facility and other fields deeply, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results."
From equipment procurement to facility construction, from deep water cage to aquaculture ship, from salmon farming to global business cooperation. CIMC Raffles has gradually improved and deepened the layout of its fishing industry in Norway. Minister Per Sandberg's visit will open up a new starting point for bilateral cooperation, connect the huge fishery needs of China and Norway, and help the two sides make further progress in the field of far-reaching fishery.
