CIMC Raffles has three construction bases in Shandong Province, located in Yantai, Haiyang and Longkou. Three construction bases have geographic advantage considering they are located at the vicinity of Bohai Bay, an important oil and gas producing area in China. The Company owns world-class offshore construction facilities and digital and intelligent construction methodology, and created innovative construction method, including parallel construction on land, launching with large barge, mating with 20,000t gantry crane, thruster installation at -18m deep water wharf, etc.
CIMC Offshore Engineering Institute (OEI) is located in Yantai, Shandong Province. It has an offshore oil drilling platform R & D (Experiment) center and a national innovation platform in the field of marine science and technology. It has a CIMC & Barton efficient welding laboratory and a digital simulation laboratory. The OEI has independent design capability in high-end offshore platforms. Its products cover semi submersible platform and jack up platform , special vessels, floating power equipment, wave energy equipment, etc.
Offshore Construction R&D National Engineering Laboratory is the platform set up to make breakthrough on the key technologies and lead the development of future offshore and marine industries. The Laboratory mainly focuses on the development of key technology and equipment for marine resources of ultra deep water and arctic region and for offshore renewable energy, and big data application for offshore technology.
CIMC Ocean Engineering Design & Research Institute (CIMC ORIC), located in Shanghai, has abundant design experience in offshore equipment, large-scale vessels, and renewable energy vessels.
BT is located in Goteborg, Sweden. They have strong experience and capability in the Conceptual Design, FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and Complete Basic Design for various marine & offshore projects. Specially in semi-submersible type platforms. Their main delivered products include BT-3500 semi-submersible tender rigs, Q5000 well-intervention unit, BT-4000 deepwater semi-submersible workover rig and tender drilling barges.
The key focus is floating wind projects, including T-Floater® and D-Floater® design for floating offshore wind, including logistic solutions and other floating units for offshore wind projects.
BE is located in Brevik, Norway. They have full design capacity for both new built and conversion of FPSO/FSO for oil companies and FPSO contractors. Their design experience includes conceptual design, FEED (Front End Engineering Design), basic design and detail design.
Furthermore, they have rich experience in developing large offshore fish farms, and merchant ships. Nowadays, they work toward new green environment projects of reducing CO2 emissions, including CO2 transportation, storage and offloading. The projects are sponsored by European union, Norwegian government and energy majors like Equinor, Total and BP.
