CIMC RAFFLES is an international family which has nearly 100 expatriates who come from 12 different countries or regions around the world; there are about 500 people supporting CIMC RAFFLES projects who work for the ship owners, the classification societies, the equipment and service vendors, and the other business partners. CIMC RAFFLES organizes various recreational activities irregularly which offers all the expatriates and their family members many pleasure moments and long-lasting memories. With the warmth and cares from this big family, CIMC RAFFLES is driving to be a world class marine and offshore builder with efforts to become the ‘Yard of Choice’. |

CIMC RAFFLES owns a special team of oversea experts which earns a good international reputation and specializes at the areas of marine product construction, safety, welding, NDT, painting, and etc.This specialized team not only helps CIMC RAFFLES build trusts from customers; but also share their rich knowledge and experiences within the yard in the way of ‘Transfer, Help, and Train’.
Leadership Development Program "Yuan Hang" for Top Management Team
The top management team will take part in CIMC leadership development program “Yuan Hang” by groups in order to be familiar with CIMC Common Management Language and promote CIMC Management Best Practices. Through this program, managers are expected to develop skills in strategic planning, analysis, and execution. The managers will also learn how to communicate and coach to strengthen their skills in managing selves and managing others in order to better implement the strategic tasks.
Leadership Development Program "Sailing" for Middle Management Team
CIMC RAFFLES offers a series of training topics to the middle and top management from three perspectives which are self management, personnel management, and work management. This training program has systematically improved their overall management ability, which has greatly enhanced the company’s overall management level. Therefore it continuously drives CIMC Raffles to achieve business objectives and grow profitably.
Foreman Series's Training for Junior Management
CIMC RAFFLES has started a series of foreman trainings which nearly 500 people were involved in it. The aim for it is to build up an excellent junior management team and strengthen the junior team construction and the site production management which could guarantee and offer supports for promoting the key projects in our company. The training is set up a series of practical training lessons which is designed from four perspectives – ‘capable to manage safety’, ‘capable to manage people’, ‘capable to manage issues’, and ‘capable to manage materials’. The course contents include all the perspectives of ‘manpower, machine/equipment, material, rules and environments’ in order to create an all round ‘Four Capabilities’ Foreman team.
Language Training on International Communication
In order to meet the needs of using English as the working language and create an international business environment, to strengthen the communication skills of the expatriates, ship owners, and the classification society, and to enhance the work efficiency, English Corner and Chinese Corner are fully promoted within CIMC RAFFLES. Our language communication skills are improving. Based on this, we have also built up common values and corporate cultures because of the strengthened trust and inclusiveness among each other.
Training on International Professional Qualification
CIMC RAFFLES continuously carries out training programs on international professional qualification such as the areas of welding, painting, NDT, and etc. With this it has enhanced CIMC RAFFLES capabilities and qualifications in the marine and offshore industry.
The Platform for Talents in Marine Industry
CIMC RAFFLES has set up CIMC RAFFLES special scholarship in some leading domestic marine educational institutes. The special scholarship serves as a long-term plan to attract and develop specialized students in those leading marine institutes; to accept international students majored in marine industry to take internship in CIMC RAFFLES. The marine postgraduates’ internship base, and the post doctorates work station, and etc. which are under construction, provide the career developing platform for production simulation, research and development, and system commissioning with the hope to develop qualified international talents to meet the increasing needs of CIMC RAFFLES, and the marine and offshore industry in China as well.
