Yantai CIMC Raffles is launching Campus Recruitment for Year 2011
Yantai Raffles Offshore Limited was established in 1996. It was originally founded in 1977 as Yantai Shipyard in Yantai, Shandong Province. The company title officially changed to its present name – Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Limited in March 2010.
Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Limited is committed to providing high-tech and high quality products to our customers. Our businesses include marine and offshore new-builds, repairs and conversion projects. Today, we are the biggest construction base in China for Semi-Submersible rigs, Jack-up rigs, FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading), pipe lay vessels and other prototype vessels. Our core competitiveness lies in our pool of engineering talents and our extensive adoption of high-end engineering software in our design work. We have about 700 engineering staff, many of whom have more than 10 years in the marine and offshore industry. We invest heavily in engineering software such as CATIA (3D design and modelling), ABAQUS (Finite Element Analysis), NAPA (platform stability analysis) and HARP (flow analysis) to continuously improve our engineering competency. The ground breaking ceremony of CIMC Offshore Research and Development (R&D) Institute was held in the Yantai Hi-Tech Development Zone on 20th Oct. 2009. The establishment of Yantai CIMC Offshore R&D Institute is a significant strategic measure to accelerate CIMC’s involvement and to enhance its competitive edge in the offshore industry, as well as to attract and develop talents in the offshore industry.
